A pull rod suspension system is a linkage designed to use tension to hold the car on the ground. This system is commonly seen in Formula 1 on cars like: Mclaren, Ferrari, and Redbull. This system creates a lower center of gravity due to components being lower to the ground surface. However, the trade-off is a higher complexity system compared to a more simplistic push rod suspension resulting in a higher center of gravity. I am developing the linkage in CAD to further development and understanding of function for Mitch Racing “Lightning” Class A Formula Vee race car.
